This frame is inspired by the religious symbols associated with the Virgen Mary in the Roman Catholic tradition. Throughout the colonization of the Americas, Indigenous peoples were forced to renounce their beliefs and hide the associated practices, often centered around the natural world. This creation brings both ideas together, as an exploration of the notion of reconciliation.
